We are currently seeking an individual who can provide management and leadership to a team of technical staff engaged in conducting regulatory inspections for building, electrical, plumbing and gas systems. Your mandate will be to effectively plan, organize and direct this team. In this senior management role, you will be responsible for the inspections area, and will work with the Chief Building Inspector in the effective management of the Department. You bring a degree in Engineering or Architecture, coursework in fire protection systems and the ability to apply code requirements to complex projects. You have extensive experience relating to the construction industry with developed skills in design, construction, site supervision and inspections. In addition to top-notch interpersonal skills, you will have superior management and leadership skills. Accreditation with APEGBC or AIBC is essential, and BOABC is an asset.
