Casual Program Support Assistant

The South Shore Regional School Board currently is accepting applications for casual Program Support Assistants interested in all schools in Lunenburg and Queens Counties:

Applicants to this posting must be willing to work, on a casual basis, in one or more of the schools.

Candidates should possess:

• Post secondary training in health or education, or a Community College Diploma in Human Services (with an Educational Support concentration), Public School Program Support Assistant (PSPA) certificate and/or experience as a program support assistant.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills:
• Experience working with students on individualized program and behaviour modification plans.
• Experience working with students with other exceptionalities.
• Knowledge of assistive and supportive technologies.
• Current first aid certification.
