Your future career opportunity
As the Security Supervisor for Victoria Shipyards (VSL)you are responsible for the development, planning, implementation and maintenance of the security, which includes Federal and Provincial security programs, such as the Canadian Industrial Security program, Controlled Goods Directorate and Transport Canada. You will ensure that Company and contracting personnel have the appropriate security clearances to work on special projects, program and within Victoria Shipyards. You will also liaise with senior, operations and project managers to ensure that physical security and other requirements are met and maintiained during all work at Victoria Shipyards.
You will coordinate with PWGSC's Esquimalt Graving Dock security personnel, port security personnel, Victoria Shipyards facility security officers and alternatives; project managers and security contractors working at Victoria Shipyards, to ensure adherence to the VSL's facility security plan. In addition, you will determine and coordinate security surveillance, monitoring and access requirements. You will have familiarity with the ISPS code and regulations, Marine Transportation Security Act and regulations; Canadian Industrial Security Program; Controlled Goods Program and other legislated security clearance standards and procedures.
