Position Summary

Summary: CEDA is currently seeking reliable, self-motivated Journeymen Heavy Equipment Technicians for its Pressure and Vacuum service line. The successful candidates will contribute to the ongoing reliable maintenance of company and client owned equipment, while ensureing that the maintenance of all equipment is being performed and documented as per manufacturer specifications. These hourly positions will be located at CEDA’s 180 MacLennan Crescent location. The successful candidates will be working a 10 on/4 off schedule. These positions will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
*Residency in Fort McMurray is a requirement for these roles.


Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Thorough knowledge of heavy construction equipment and a wide variety of support equipment repair is required. 
• Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems would be an asset.
• You will troubleshoot and inspect equipment and repair or replace defective parts. 
• You will also test repaired equipment for proper maintenance, clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.

Role Specifications
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Red Seal Certification
• Minimum 5 years related experience
• Valid Class 5 license
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Weight handling of up to 50 lbs
• Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work
• Demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to health and safety
• Must have residence in Fort McMurray as camp accommodations are not provided
• Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing is required
