Position Summary

Summary: This position is responsible for the administration of the company’s time and attendance and payroll systems. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client services, including recordkeeping of such various items as vacation pay, holidays etc.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing and Payment of multiple payrolls
  • Processing of New Hires and Terminations
  • Processing and Accuracy of ROE’s
  • Payment of WCB – WSIB periodic remittances
  • Calculation and Payment of multiple union remittances
  • Manage inquiries from multiple business units
  • Manage inquiries from employees

Role Specifications:

  • 5 years of experience working with complicated payrolls
  • Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) Level 2
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Payroll legislation.
  • Experience with union and non-union payrolls
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and work within a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Must be detail orientated with accuracy
  • Ability to learn quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work with sensitive, confidential and personal information while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must have excellent computer skills
